William Bishop, EA


William specializes in income tax preparation and planning at The Swanson Group, LLC.  Prior to joining The Swanson Group in May 2017, he enjoyed a thirty-two-year career as a business counselor at a Brunswick firm.  In May 2016 he left the firm and discovered a love of the ocean as a stern man on board a lobster boat. 

William attained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1980 at The College of William And Mary. He has been enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service since 1988. 

William takes pride in his communication skill and listening to clients.  He enjoys complex tax issues and has represented clients before the Appeals Office of the Internal Revenue Service. 

Outside of his work environment William has volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and the Cumberland County Jail.  He loves music, training canines, and the outdoors. 

He lives with his wife, Anne, and stepson, Stephen, in Freeport.
